Hades Star Tipps Get these must-have Contractor upgrades VideoMUST KNOW Basics Hades’ Star Noobtorial #2
They can be total life-savers. To round things out, we've got a few combat pointers, starting with the Mirror of Night. This is your main way of growing stronger outside of escape attempts, so you're going to spend a lot of time contemplating upgrades.
For your first few hours, we suggest investing in the following buffs:. While we do recommend investing in the abilities above, your Mirror of Night is just that — yours.
You can change it whenever you want, either because you think other abilities would benefit specific weapons or play styles, or because you want to try something else.
This is especially relevant once you unlock secondary abilities for the mirror again, talk to everybody. It only costs one Chthonic Key to totally reset your mirror, so don't worry about locking yourself into a bad build or anything like that.
As long as you have darkness to spend, you can experiment to your heart's content. It's easy to get tunnel vision in Hades and focus on your attack, special, and dodge, but you should never neglect your cast ability.
No matter what cast boon you have, your cast is just free damage, and if you have Boiling Blood active which we almost always recommend , hitting an enemy or boss with your cast will greatly increase the damage they receive.
This is super powerful against armored or tanky enemies, and even the weakest cast will add some damage to the mix, so don't just sit on your shards.
This last tip comes with a small disclaimer: you won't unlock Calls, ultimate abilities that charge up when you deal or take damage, for a few runs.
But once you do, you should always aim to have a Call in your build. It doesn't necessarily need to be your first boon, but getting a Call early will pay huge dividends in the long run.
Some Calls can clear a room on their own, and any Call is better than no Call. A single charge of a Call can make an encounter much easier, and a fully charged one can put some serious hurt on a boss.
For an upgraded Call, we're talking about an 'outright kill a boss from half health' kind of hurt. If we're playing favorites, we highly recommend the Poseidon and Ares Calls for a potent mix of offense and defense.

Hades' Star Tip 6: Scanners. Red Star Scanner allows you to find distant Red Stars. These stars have a very small lifetime, contain valuable Artifacts that you can research, and are usually guarded by Cerberus forces.
Once the Red Star Scanner detects a new star, it will act as a Stargate, allowing docked ships to jump to the new system.
The Short Range Scanner station allows you to explore nearby sectors, allowing you to see and travel deeper in this star system. Gamer Online Guide.
Newer Post Older Post Home. This website contains detailed and complete guides for you to improve your gameplay. But many will also aim for maximizing blueprints for other modules so they are willing to pay a price for the artifacts.
The price often consists of many lower level artifacts, doing shipments for the seller or offer the systems hydrogen. Sellers of artifacts mostly aim at better daily income and additional hydrogen.
They will also profit from salvaging lower level artifacts, not needing to do their shipments because the partner does them or accessing more hydrogen so they can run more Red Stars.
It's usually a win-win for both parties. So, how does one trade artifacts? There are two ways: A private Red Star There's a way of sharing artifacts I found out on my own when starting with the game but most of the active player base knows about it.
If you send transport ships loaded with artifacts to a Red Star and drop them on a planet other players will be able to pick them up.
That doesn't apply to artifacts you retrieved in the same Red Star e. If your partner does the same you can pick up his artifacts.
Since there is no need to trade in a specific Red Star level most players will use a private Red Star level 1 in a corporation to trade, as it also allows only 2 players to participate which excludes a third from stealing.
You cannot pick up or drop your artifacts at the Research Station and you won't be able to drop your artifacts on the planets of your partner.
With artifacts needing a specific capacity to be able to transport them you are limited to the transport capacity of your transports when trading.
This is intended if you ask me so high-end players cannot boost very low level players. A common but yet disturbing thing for many players is diplomatic relationship cancelling and re-establishing.
As I wrote earlier the jump of your ships in the partners system to your system by cancelling the diplomatic relationship won't cost any hydro. You can use this game mechanic to save hydrogen.
Simply cancel the relationship after you both picked up artifacts and send another request immediately after. Repeat until you got all.
Be aware that this can be abused by your partner after he has picked up artifacts. Trust is very important. Now I think I covered all what's possible and useful with Hades' Star diplomacy system.
As I mentioned earlier trust is a big factor and long-term relationships are often more beneficial for both sides than short trades.
It was the time right after I discovered that trading is possible via Red Stars and I was at Red Star level 4, a Red Star level that you can grind very good.
So I constantly retrieved more artifacts than I needed but the upgrade to Red Star 5 was far away. What to do with all the artifacts?
