Hi, reading from your saving history I guess you started to put all your saving sistematically in P2p?
I saved a lot in the past but Im still not sure to add 10k saving in it. What will you suggest to peoples like me? Thank you!
Hi Gaetano. My suggestion is to start out slow with different platforms, to see if you like this type of investing. As you can see from my income graphs, I have 4 years of experience with P2P.
Very good review, even if interests rate is dropping on Mintos. Hello, When you talk in P2P lending talk always in diversification.
You can still diversify your portfolio without having an even spread between loan originators. You can read more about the setting here.
I am just wondering if you still are using the same auto-invest settings today. Am I mostly thinking about the percentages, etc.?
What if you sold all your current loans without a discount, do you then still get your share of interest on delayed loans? So most of my profit was earned on a 8k EUR account.
If I sell a delayed loan, I will receive my share of the interest from when I owned the loan when the loan is bought back.
Ah, that explains it of course, thanks a lot for the quick response and the explanation. I just registered to Mintos and Bondora about 2 weeks back.
Interest from defaulted loans which are bought back is paid after 60 days. So it takes some time, but it will catch up and will definitely surpass Bondora at some point.
I understand that there could be a mismatch between loans funded and interests paid, but I cannot explain myself such a big difference.
Is it because most of the loans are short term? Hi Jozef. They just bundle loans and extend the investment duration of short-term loans.
Interest rates offered seems to be more or less the same as buying the loans individually. First of all, wonderful job with this blog.
I have 2 questions for you: 1. What is the best way to add funds to Mintos? I have been using Transferwise but in addition they always ask to send them the proof of payment.
Even if I specified the investor id, my name, and so on… I am thinking about sort of direct-debit from my personal account and leave auto-invest feature going on solely.
In this way I would just need to make sure I have funds in my account. What tool do you use for tracking the portofolio distribution?
Do you have an excel template? Hi Bogdan, 1. To display my portfolio I use scripts from Highcharts. Thank you…u do a great job.
Has Mintos remove this feature? What will happen in the following scenario? What will happen if this originator becomes active again?
Will it be included in my already-defined auto-strategy? Frankly, I would like to avoid the situation when an originator which initially has buy-back guarantee for example , is re-activated by Mintos with different feature without buy-back guarantee this time.
Basically I would end-up with a strategy which I want to avoid. Hi Bogdan. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.

What is Mintos? What kind of returns can I expect? My account overview on July 1st Mintos is a highly trusted platform and some people invest very large amounts there.
What if a loan originator goes bankrupt? I will show you my current strategies that have worked great for me so far. They are perfect for beginners, and will provide you the best returns while keeping risks under control.
Update August 17, I am now using new strategies on Auto Invest. I still kept the old strategies here just in case someone finds those more useful.
Not everything that works for me will work for you as well. In this way you can easily prioritize your defined strategies and also disable them in the future, if needed.
Try to invest in as many loan originators as possible to keep a low percentage in each one. And so on. Ending up investing in loan originators that might not be doing great and expose yourself to higher risk.
Hand pick them according to well defined rules , that I am going to show you later in the post. In the past I was using 4 strategies.
And because a picture is worth words, I will start with a screenshot. They are very simple, and easy to understand and will execute in the order of priorities.
That means I only chose to invest in high profile loan originators, that have a good track. Another important thing to mention is the amount of money allowed to be invested using this strategy.
Is the last one to be executed in the order of priorities and I have only created it to dramatically reduce the risk of money drag. You can always sell these loans on the secondary market freeing up the money for another chance to buy higher interest loans later on.
Smart, right? Anyway, before starting I would say to not take everything you read here or anywhere else for granted. I encourage you to come up with your own rules that will work best for your risk profile and overall strategy.
I recently launched the Mintos Helper tool which is going to make it easier for you to apply all the rules we are going to talk below.
Make sure to check it out. Those are definitely more riskier and my conclusion is that they are not worth it. There are plenty of others available.
A good example is Aforti. This is where the Mintos Helper comes in handy, as is making it very easy to filter out originators with a low rating.
Here is a screenshot below. My recommendation is to choose loan originators with a rating above Moreover, please make sure to check these ratings monthly, as some loan originators can be downgraded if they report bad financial data.
At the same time, some can be upgraded, so you might miss an opportunity here. Now, someone might ask why I picked 60, and not 50 or 70?
And this is a good question. The answer is simple: this is what works for me now. I might increase or decrease it in the future.
Will be very easy to only select loan originators with a rating above 60, or any other value. Rule 3 — pay interest for delayed payments Only select loan originators that pay interest for delayed payments.
In this way you ensure that if the loan goes bust, you will still get interest on those 60 days until the Buyback Guarantee protection executes.
As may have figure out already, this rule is meant to maximize returns. The auto invest feature is easy to pause, delete or change and will work directly after you confirm the changes you made to it.
Then you just priorities them on which one you want to be the first it should try and get loans to.
On Mintos they have a good way to follow how much you get in interest and all things connected with the money flow on your account.
The Account statement page allows you to see every transaction in periods you decide. On the same page you will have under this statement a list of every transaction and loan information back in time.
I always post month to month updates in my blog to show how my investment is going at Mintos. I did my first withdrawal from Mintos in december just to try it out.
I wanted to see how many days it took and how it looked at my bank account statement. I just made a small bank transfer of 19 Euros for this test and after 3 working days the amount was at my bank.
You can see how it looks at the printscreen from my bank above. Since then I have made withdrawals many times with the same results. They take no fees for depositing or withdrawals which is good.
There is so many other services that states gibberish numbers and letters at there transfers nowadays. You will need to write in your personal information, address and so on.
They would like to see proof of address, for example a utility bill and some form of ID. A passport or driving license. The bank account connected to Mintos must be in your name or company name.
The most secure way to transfer funds is via bank transfer, but there are also other e-money possibilities. At Mintos they have loans in many currencies on the platform.
They pressent 12 different currencies because the loan originators are spread out in 32 countries. I have seen this happen to others that try to invest in high risk loans, in for example in Georgia.
This can also go the other way around of course. Less is more in almost everything in life I believe, so keep it simple is my moto. This is an easy way to start investing at Mintos where they do all the work for you and let you cash out fast if needed.
You will need to invest Euros or more to get it working correctly. The best part of this like they say is that you get to cash out fast if needed.
Since they say you can cashout fast it sounds good. They will not be able to sell loans that are late before the buyback guarantee kicks in, remember that.
This is within the first 90 days from your registration and pays out in 3 parts. So if you been with me so far in my Mintos review and dont have an account there yet.
To get this extra payout you just have to sign up using this link to Mintos. Note that you will not get this extra payout if you sign up directly on Mintos.
Cashback is another thing we should mention in this Mintos review. From time to time some of the loan originators on Mintos can have special offers on loans.
This to try and attract more investors in periods. Most of these cashback deals are available between weeks at a time. Usually gives you a possibility to get everything from 0.
It all depends on the criteria they set. In the picture below is an example on how much cashback Kredo and Monego gave out in July For the investor, that means that even if the loan goes to default, the loan originator will actually engage a procedure to sell the asset and redistribute the money to investors, significantly lowering the potential loss after a default.
Also, a lot of loans on Mintos also come with a buyback guarantee, usually with secured loans. This means that even if a loan defaults, the investor will be paid back by the loan originator, that will then handle all the money recovery process on their side.
Therefore, you are sure as an investor to always get back the money that you invested. I actually invest only in loans that come with this buyback guarantee on Mintos, and I really recommend you do the same if you decided to invest in this platform.
First, what you need to do is to open a free account on their website. This usually takes less than 5 minutes, including a step where they will ask you to verify your identity.
The next step is then to deposit money on your account to start investing. This is also really easy to do, as they provide different bank accounts that you can use to make them a transfer, depending on which currency you want to use.
As for all platforms I review, I tried to withdraw money from the platform as well. Mintos kann durch das starke Gesamtpaket für eine Registrierung empfohlen werden.
